I started doing Hormonal Yoga Therapy in December of 2019. I originally was looking for something that would help me sleep better. I was sleeping at most 4 hours per night and I couldn’t fall asleep. I didn’t want to become dependant on pharmaceuticals or did I even want to try them. Some herbal remedies helped but I was extremely sleep deprived.After learning the program, it took about two weeks of everyday work to get it in my body so that I could do it from start to finish, checking the list only once or twice. I would say by the end of 6 weeks I started to notice a difference. Here’s the thing: I wasn’t expecting all of the other benefits that came with it. It awakened my body and brain in the morning like nothing else. Oxygen will do that 😉. General aches and pains became less and were relegated to the background noise of life instead of front and centre. My concentration increased and the depression I was feeling because of no sleep began to lift. My stress level went way down.. I was happier.
My sleep gradually improved over time and is still improving. It is a process and it didn’t take 6 months to get there so my expectations of finding relief were realistic. And it is continuing to improve.
I think the overall health benefits both physical and mental are phenomenal. You also feel empowered for taking on some control of your body’s welfare outside of regular exercise and nutrition. It is holistic.
