I started doing Hormonal Yoga Therapy in December of 2019. I originally was looking for something that would help me sleep better. I was sleeping at most 4 hours per night and I couldn’t fall asleep. I didn’t want to become dependant on pharmaceuticals or did I even want to try them. Some herbal remedies helped but I was extremely sleep deprived.After learning the program, it took about two weeks of everyday work to get it in my body so that I could do it from start to finish, checking the list only once or twice. I would say by the end of 6 weeks I started to notice a difference. Here’s the thing: I wasn’t expecting all of the other benefits that came with it. It awakened my body and brain in the morning like nothing else. Oxygen will do that 😉. General aches and pains became less and were relegated to the background noise of life instead of front and centre. My concentration increased and the depression I was feeling because of no sleep began to lift. My stress level went way down.. I was happier. HYT has been a saviour for me. I thought I was headed into Peri for the last year. Then a co-worker introduced me to Corinne McNally, and I took her course. I had a list of 26 symptoms that I was seeing my doctor and naturopath about. They worked together, which was also super helpful!I was put on a supplement for adrenal support which helped with a couple of my symptoms but not the majority.When I started HYT; it was within a couple of weeks I started noticing changes! It was amazing! 98% of my symptoms disappeared!I had 3 months of a very regular cycle and hardly and symptoms! Then I fell off the HYT wagon. I was missing my daily yoga practice and switched HYT with that. It’s been 2 months and most of my symptoms have returned. So, now I’m back on the HYT regular practice and looking forward, once again to some immediate changes! I’ll need to figure out where to carve out time for my other yoga practice, but for now - this is what helps me maintain balance! Corinne is an inspiring yoga teacher. I really enjoyed learning about Hormone Yoga Therapy from her. She is always available to answer any question I may have about the practice. I look forward to attending her classes and learning from her"! Corinne from Lotus Moon Yoga taught me HYT at a workshop last year. I had heard about the program from a friend when I had mentioned to them that I was struggling to get pregnant for the first time but was having a difficult time regulating my cycle. HYT is an everyday practice that was something I could do in my own home and Corinne was always there to support us if we had questions. Corinne does a great job of creating an open space to learn about hormone yoga therapy. All yogi levels are able to practice. I'm very grateful to have learned the skills to soothe various hormone issues early in my adulthood. The hormone yoga therapy sequence has not only helped to reduce my severe PMS symptoms and regulate my abnormal cycle but has also helped to increase energy levels and reduce stress. This is truly a great tool for women's health! Just wanted to mention some changes I've observed in this 58 year old body since taking up the practice post HYT weekend with Corinne McNally beginning of October. More energy, more strength, more mental clarity. Less incontinent. My eyes which for many years have reflected differences (R. eye smaller and more "weary" looking) are balancing in size and energy. I sing recreationally and I notice better breath and tone. Slimming down. Very, very pleased with it all. Gratitude to Dinah and Corinne for bringing this work forth! "Working with Corinne and Hormone Yoga Therapy have been life changing. A few months ago, I hadn’t even heard of HYT. One of my massage clients told me about it and how she has been using it in her life for several years. My interest was piqued and when my professional association offered a course with Corinne, I was all on board. You are SO Beautiful- inside & out! I took your hormone yoga class in Feb. in Edmonton. I have continued to do it every day since I took the course. I figured only doing it 3-4 days a week was a slippery slope to go down, so I will continue to do it everyday for as long as possible. While I still have night sweats and hot flashes the biggest difference I have noticed with doing the yoga routine is how it has helped my insomnia. I used to have a night sweats and be awake for hours. For the most part I now have a night sweat and go back to sleep relatively quickly after. I was really impressed with her teaching style-thorough, great explanations and demonstrations. She was present with each participant and helped all of us to build accuracy within the practice. I came away from her training able to continue doing the HYT protocols on my own. I followed the recommendations for daily practice snd it made a HUGE positive shift in my health. Highly recommend this beautiful teacher and this amazing teaching. I have taken Corrine's Hormone Therapy Yoga program and it was extremely beneficial for me. I've been doing it now for almost 2 years and have seen such an improvement in my overall health. I have also done a few of her regular yoga classes and find her to be a very knowledgeable teacher. The HYT practice balances my hormones and subsides my menstral symptoms! I learned the HYT method from a workshop that Corinne provided and also signed up online! The online gives you access to her videos which really help to keep the HYT practice going at home with ongoing guidance. It has also been such a pleasure practicing with her Yin classes. (Sacred Arts in Camrose, AB) I took Corinne's workshop in April - Montreal ~ Short story: I stopped the practice temporarily after I'd been doing it 5x a week for 2 months. I stopped because suddenly I started spotting every day. I didn't know if it was the practice or my copper IUD causing this. But the copper IUD contains no hormones and I'd had it for 18 mos without this problem. At a loss and not appreciating all the spotting (I've always had a very regular, normal cycle), I decided to get rid of the IUD and temporarily stop the practice. I got the copper IUD out and returned to my usual flow yoga practice. The spotting stopped almost immediately. I wanted to wait a few weeks before bringing the HYT practice back. But summer started and I got busy and kept putting that off...for 3 months! In that 3 months, my period stopped and suddenly, hot flashes started!! At first they were a few times a week and I blamed the summer heat. Then it was 10+ times a day even on cool days! Perimenopause confirmed. It was becoming really disruptive to my life and waking me up many times during the night. It was horrible! I decided it was high time to bring the practice back into my life. Corinnes Hormone yoga workshop was terrific! She is a highly skilled teacher , explains everything clearly, and is passionate about helping woman balance their hormones . I find her teaching methods very motivating , have been practicing daily and feel great! I would recommend it to any woman whether they are struggling or not with hormonal imbalances. Your class is such a blessing! I have experienced drastic changes in hot flashes, feel more balanced emotionally, and like a 'normal' woman. Thank you for doing what you do with such passion! |

I took the hormone therapy yoga classes and I was unsure about it at first. It has made a positive difference with the menopause flashes. I'm actually looking forward to sweater season. While Corinne pursues her passion, I get to reap the benefits! I was excited to learn about the Hormone Yoga Therapy, and after a six hour workshop, feel fairly confident with the daily practise... and my body is responding. I really enjoyed the time I had with Corrine in our hormone therapy yoga workshop. I was completely new to yoga; yet Corrine made me feel extremely welcomed and was very understanding of my novice knowledge in yoga. Corinne provided us with knowledge and tools to help us with our future practice of hormone yoga. She acknowledged the information we shared with her the first session and retained that information for our second session. Since my time with Corrine I have felt more encouraged to expand my yoga practice - The knowledge Corrine passed down to us from Dinah was a great fundamental to have in the beginning of my yoga odyssey. I think it is important to know that hormone therapy yoga is for women of all ages, and I feel very blessed to have experienced this class as a young women. |
I took Corinne McNally's HYT workshop Nov.30/Dec.1 and started practicing the full sequence that weekend. In just a few days I was noticing results. I have suffered from severe pms for 30 yrs and have always thought that I was just one of the unlucky ones who had to live with this. Everything I did was planned around pms and my period. I was severely emotional, irritable, bloated, crampy, tender, achy body, nauseous, vomiting, headaches, exhausted, sensitive to crowds and noise, 5lb weight fluctuation each month, the list goes on.... I was starting to pms on the first night of the workshop. The second day we did the full practice and I continued each day following. I had NO pms symptoms. EVERYTHING went away! I even felt a clarity of mind that I didn't realize wasn't there before and I felt so energized it was insane. I also lost a few pounds during pms! My husband and son noticed an enormous change in me that week. I am now on day 17 of practice and normally I would be vomiting and nauseous from ovulation and I feel fantastic. No symptoms. This workshop and practice has truly saved my life. It is changing my relationships and mental health, as well as my physical health. I am in awe of how quickly everything has changed. I was ready to start therapy and see specialists and all the while the power was in my own hands.....I cried with my husband about how much was lost to something that could have been fixed so many years ago....it is my wish that this practice spread far and wide to help others who have been suffering.
